At Framefinders, we work closely with museums, art dealers and private collectors requiring historically accurate and aesthetically pleasing frames for their important works of art. To help our clients envision the best possible options for their artwork, Framefinders provides color mock-ups of the artwork in various frame suggestions carefully selected for the piece. Computer generated mock-ups enable our clients to view the finished product from the very beginning, while avoiding the expenses and hassles of shipping.
The following guidelines have been created to make our search for your perfect frame more efficient. Please provide us with the following information, so that we may frame your artwork correctly.
1. Artist’s name and date of the artwork.
2. Dimensions of the artwork, including sight size, rabbet size and canvas depth.
3. Budget. This is important as frame prices can vary greatly and we want to work within your needs.
4. Image of the artwork. A 35 mm, transparency or high resolution image will enable us to prepare a high quality color image of the framed artwork.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions at (212) 396-3896, and we will be delighted to help you through this process.
